As we emerge from lock down, we are recommitting our efforts to ensure the world neither needs, wants or uses single-use ANYTHING - and that includes coffee cups!
To guide us on how to avoid disposables during this challenging time, the team at KeepCup have come up with a pretty cool initiative called ‘The Reusers Guide’ and it goes like this:
- Always wash your KeepCup in the dishwasher or handwash with soap
- Clean hands = Clean KeepCup - wash your hands regularly with soap and water and use hand sanitiser
- As usual, only hand over a clean and dry KeepCup and keep hold of your lid
- If your local cafe isn’t accepting reusables, decant you’re coffee or tea from a ceramic mug into your KeepCup
Vote with your feet and support cafes that facilitate reuse. If they won’t take your KeepCup, ask if they can reduce waste by decanting your coffee from an in-house ceramic mug to your reusable cup
And remember: always hold onto your lid and wash your hands regularly!
Happy sipping!
