Valentine’s Day has become this extremely commercial, consumer-driven day, with greetings cards, chocolates, plastic balloons, and flower bouquets being very common purchases for our loved ones.
However, there are many other ways to celebrate and profess your love, which are kinder to the environment, as well as to your pocket!
I have selected a few ideas that will surely please even the fussiest lovers - husband, wink wink ;)
1) Have a meal together
You can book a meal for two at your favourite spot or even better, cook at home! Turn it into a fun activity where each one of you will be responsible for a course and add little games - I, myself, am a huge fan of quizzes. My husband on the other hand... :D
Set the mood with soft lighting, a glass of wine and music... I bet this will be a better experience than many Michelin Star restaurants!
Oh and please remember to opt for organic produce to keep it eco-friendly!
2) Gift an experience
Give the gift of an experience - you can surprise him/her or pick an event together. Think of music gigs, the movies, art exhibitions, cooking classes, a fitness class, couples massage or anything else that tickles your fancy. Avoid paper waste by emailing them the invitation!
3) Make something special
I love baking and my husband is a huge fan of my banana bread.
This V-Day, I will bake him a banana bread in the morning and leave a few slices in his work bag - a nice surprise for when he gets to work, me thinks! You can also make bath bombs (and even enjoy it together - oh la la!) or some chocolate bark.
4) Buy an eco-friendly gift
That's easy - we have a bunch of options rght here at reuzi! :)
If he/she is into coffee, check one of our coffee cups and mugs.
#fitfam? Well, do we have a huge selection of water bottles...
At reuzi you will find something for everyone!
With love,
Pat x
