Abeego is a wrap which protects food while letting it breathe. It is flexible and slightly adhesive so it can easily be shaped around food and bowls or folded into packages to store food at room temperature, in the fridge or the freezer. Each wrap is made of hemp and certified organic cotton that's been infused with pure beeswax, certified organic jojoba oil, and tree resin.
This pack comes with 3 wraps (1x large = 33cm x 33cm, 1x medium = 25cm x25cm and 1x small = 18cm x 18cm). This product is fully biodegradable and compostable. Its natural antibacterial properties will help keep food fresh and allow repeated usage.
Used several times each week, your Abeego wraps should last for approximately one year.
Simply wash with cool water and a little soap and hang to dry.
Don't use it with raw meat, poultry and fish.
Avoid strong heat sources like microwave ovens, boiling water and direct sunlight.
Cling film & kitchen aluminium foil!
To give you an idea, many recycling centres and public recycling programs in Ireland won't accept aluminium foil, leaving many scratching their heads as to why. if you can recycle an aluminium can you should be able to recycle foil as well, right? Well, the fact is, aluminium foil is 100% recyclable though the catch is that it is often much dirtier than cans. With the sheets of foil often being filled with food waste that can lead to contamination, many recycling centres simply won't accept it.

A great alternative to single-use plastic wraps, cling film and foil.
Fold your bee-wrap around fruit, veggies, cheese, sambos or other food and gently heat with your hands to seal. You can use your imagination (or as I call it, "YouTube Tutorials"!) to create pouches, cones and boxes to store nuts, crisps or whatever else you may like.
Clean with lukewarm soapy water and hang to dry.
Refresh and pasteurise the bee-wrap every few months by placing on a baking paper in the oven for a few minutes at 70-100 degrees.
Do not use with hot food, raw meat or in the microwave.
With good care ad regular use, you can expect your bee-wrap to last for up to a year!
The beeswax coating will decrease with use. If you would like to restore it and increase the stickiness and longevity of you bee-wrap, you can DIY re-wax.
As the beeswax and resin melt into the fabric some spots or discolouration may occur. This is just natural and does not affect the performance of your bee-wrap.
Aluminium foil, cling film, single-use plastic pouches!
